Exclude products from earning points
Overview
As a store owner, you have full control over which products are eligible to earn loyalty points and can exclude specific products from earning points at any time.
Key Features:
- All Products
Customers can earn loyalty points on purchases of all products in your store. (Default setting)
- Exclude Collections
You can use customer tags to exclude specific collections from earning loyalty points.
Example: Exclude collections tagged as “sale”, “clearance”, or “Test products”.
Steps to exclude products from earning points:
- You can navigate to the Love Loyalty app admin's Loyalty Program section
- Go to "Place an Order" earn rule.
- Under "Exclude products from earning points" select the **collection name **you want to exclude.

- Click Save to apply your changes.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the product exclusion retroactive?
No. Excluding a product only applies to future purchases. Any points customers earned from that product before it was excluded will remain in their account.
- Does excluding a product affect other products in the order?
No. Only the excluded products will not earn points. All other eligible products in the same order will continue to earn points as usual.
