# Show Love Loyalty in Unicorn cart drawer

# Overview

Let customers redeem rewards directly in the Unicorn cart drawer. They see their point balance and available rewards above the checkout button, and they can apply a reward before they pay.

Showing redemption in the drawer:

* Puts the point balance in front of customers while they review the cart
* Lets them redeem a reward in the same place they check out
* Encourages customers to spend points on the order they are placing, which can raise order value

# 1. Enable the Love Loyalty app embed

Point redemption in the cart is shown by the Love Loyalty app embed.

1. Open the theme editor.
2. On the top left, click the **App embed** icon.
3. Enable the **Love Loyalty** app embed.

# 2. Add the Unicorn cart selector

Love Loyalty shows the widget above the element named in **App embed placement**. In the Unicorn cart drawer, that element is the checkout button.

1. In Love Loyalty, open **Customize storefront**.
2. Click **Customize** on the **Cart: Earn and redeem points** card.
3. In **App embed placement**, enter `.unicorn_cart_checkout`.
4. Save.
5. Open the storefront and open the Unicorn cart drawer. Confirm the point balance and rewards appear above the checkout button.

|| Keep the dot at the start of the selector. The field should contain `.unicorn_cart_checkout`.
