Configure VIP tier benefits

Overview:

The VIP Tiers feature lets you segment customers into tiers (such as Bronze, Silver, and Gold) based on their loyalty activity. You can calculate tier eligibility using total points earned or total amount spent, define when tier progress resets, and assign unique benefits to each tier. Once enabled, customers automatically move up tiers as they meet the defined criteria, helping you reward and retain your most loyal shoppers.

Steps to add benefits: 


  1. Go to Love Loyalty App dashboard and navigate to VIP Tiers section.

  1. After the VIP tiers are added, click on a tier to add benefits to it.

  1. Click on Add Benefit after the setup is completed.

Types of benefits to offer:


There are various benefits you can offer under VIP tiers. You can choose from the below options:


  • Amount discount (one-time) - The customer will receive one-time amount off discount (eg.: $10).
  • Amount discount (automatic) - The customer will receive a fixed amount off discount on all future purchases (while they are on the given tier).
  • % off discount (one-time) - The customer will receive one-time % off discount (eg.: 10%).
  • % off discount (automatic) - The customer will receive a % off discount (eg.: 10%) on all future purchases (while they are on the given tier).
  • Free shipping (one-time) - The customer will receive a one-time free shipping discount.
  • Free shipping (automatic) - The customer will receive free shipping on all future purchases (while they are on the given tier).
  • Free product - The customer will receive a free product discount. The discount can only be used once (to provide multiple free products you should add multiple free product benefits).
  • **Bonus points: **The customer will get bonus points in the tier the belong. (eg: 100 points for being in Gold tier).
  • Store credit cashback (one-time) - The customer get a one-time store credit added to their account.
  • Store credit cashback (% after every order) - Customers will get X% back in store credit after every purchase (while they are on the given tier).
  • Custom benefits - Custom benefits are benefits that are listed on app placements but are managed outside of the app. Good examples are early access to new products, invites to exclusive events etc.

  1. Are benefits applied automatically to customers?

Most benefits (discounts, free shipping, points, and store credits) are applied automatically based on your configuration. Custom benefits are display-only and must be handled manually by the merchant.


  1. Can I control how and when benefits are used?

Yes. You can set rules such as expiry dates, minimum order values, discount combinations, and visibility on the storefront for each benefit type.
